Towards the end of WWII, even most Nazis saw the writing on the wall. They not only recognized their own impending defeat, but they also anticipated the worldwide outrage and horror which would unfold when the attrocities they had commited came to light...and they would, they did come to light.
Normal, reasonable citizens knew the Nazis were monsters, but the monsters had the power, could punish resistance instantly with death or the threat of death. The Nazis knew they were committing the unthinkable, they otherwise would not have been so secretive. Yet drunk with power and horribly misguided idealism, they persisted with their lust for power, their obsession with creating the master race.
So when the Nazis knew their days were numbered, many made arrangements to gather their accumulated loot and skip town. Switzerland, South America, anywhere they might find safe haven, knowing punishment for their deeds would be swift.
So here we are in 2010, more rats are preparing to jump ship...right after they pull the trigger!
Okay, so Chris Dodd (Senator, Connecticut) and Byron Dorgan (Senator, North Dakota) did not exterminate 6 million jews, but their irresponsible actions will, nonetheless, bring misery and suffering to the entire population of the United States. That's roughly 305 million according to our latest available census data!
Now these democrat rats, Dodd, Dorgan and possibly five more, from Nevada, Ohio, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, and Colorado, are jumping ship. They've done their dirty deeds by sending our country and its citizens down the river, so they're now cashing in their chips and heading for the hills.
They know full well how unpopular their so called “healthcare reform” bill is, know full well that it's NOT about healthcare but about government's reach, power, control, and influence. They've been willing to throw the American people under the bus for their own gains, and now that they know there's no chance they will ever be reelected, they're cutting and running like the rats they are.
They are cowards, traitors, and yes, un-American!
And to top it all off, Chris Dodd is one of 7 people most responsible for causing/making worse our economy/housing market. Senator Chris Dodd, head of the Senatorial Financial Committee, suppressed efforts by President George W. Bush and congressional Republicans to rein in the corruption at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He got a very favorable loan by a bank associated with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He got large political campaign contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Can you spell CORRUPTION, Chris??
The saddest thing of all is that there will be no punishment for all of this corruption and incompetence, no consequences for abusing the trust of the American people, for using the position bestowed upon him by the people he betrayed for his own personal gain.
The democrats will suffer no ill effects from their irresponsible behavior. Even the Nazis were punished. As my mother always reminded me, life is not fair.
