Healthcare reform as proposed today will lead to what's happening in the UK and Canada:
Barack Obama's most frequently used phrase. However, instead of it really representing an attempt to provide clarity, it is merely a ruse, a tactic to obfuscate and feign sophisticated reasoning. In other words: smoke and mirrors!
These are not the tactics of a leader, a communicator of ideas. This is the Spiel of a snake oil salesman and a conman!

One of Obama's big sellers during the presidential campaign was his promise for transparency. Don't take my word for it, here is just one of an endless supply of examples, an Obama speech from November 3, 2008:
What we are seeing now, however, is anything but transparent, the proof I promised earlier. What we are seeing now is secret, closed door meetings in the dead of night, between Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and their respective democrat co-conspirators. Right under our noses, admittedly to keep Republicans out. They want to hash out the final health plan among themselves, bypassing the traditional committee conference process. They are rewriting the rules to serve only themselves, not the American people.
In Los Angeles on January 31, 2008, Obama said: "That's what I will do in bringing all parties together, not negotiating behind closed doors, but bringing all parties together, and broadcasting those negotiations on C-SPAN so that the American people can see what the choices are".
C-SPAN's CEO, Brian Lamb, just offered to take Barry up on his promise. I guess the democrats have changed their minds about the promised transparency. They're smarter than everyone else, only they can be trusted with decisions concerning OUR money, OUR health, OUR families, and OUR futures! By all means, Nancy, don't let US get in the way of OUR lives!

Obama again, September 4, 2007: “...when it comes to what’s wrong with this country, the American people are not the problem. The American people are the answer. The American people want to trust in our government again – we just need a government that will trust in us. And making government accountable to the people isn’t just a cause of this campaign – it’s been a cause of my life for two decades.”
Then why are you treating the Amercian people as if THEY ARE the problem? How, Barry, are the American people able to trust a government which operates behind closed doors, in complete secrecy? And how is this “making government accountable to the people”?
Wake up America, we are losing our country to the bad guys! Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the other American Socialists will say ANYTHING to gain the power to do what they want. Broken campaign promises are meaningless to them. They don't care if they've been caught in a lie. Their narcissistic personalities, absent any human, moral conscience or sense of duty and responsibility, allow them act only in their personal self interests and lust for power and control. And they will use this power to run both our economy and our healthcare system into the ground.
Why don't you start here first, give it a chance:
1.Allow insurance products to be sold across state lines
2.Tort reform
My proposal only took 69 characters as opposed to your 2000 pages!
If you REALLY care about the American people, you will start with those 2 simple points which will cost tax payers next to nothing. It's our future, our money! You can't just spend it any way you want to!

Update: Pelosi apparently has responded to C-SPAN saying: 'There has never been a more open process'.
She obviously believes her own BS. Amazing! Shouldn't there be a law barring people with a mental illness from being speaker of the house? People with NPD, narcissistic personality disorder, should NOT hold such positions.

We have the luxury of being able, and allowed, to contact our representatives in Washington D.C. if we wish to file a grievance. They represent US, work for US, are paid by US, they need to listen to US, to our wishes, complaints, suggestions.

We, citizens of the United States of America, live in the greatest country ever conceived. We enjoy more freedoms and more opportunities for self-determination than ANY other nation on planet Earth. It is no coincidence that more people from all over the globe, who wish to make a better life for themselves elsewhere, choose the United States over ANY other nation. They wish to enjoy the freedom they never had before.
However, it is of utmost importance that each and EVERY citizen be reminded of how our forefathers were able to ensure these freedoms we enjoy, and the documents which made them possible. Unfortunately, all too many Americans take our freedoms for granted. They do not understand the effort and sacrifice which was required to obtain these freedoms.
It is as important today, if not MORE important, to fight for and honor the achievements of our founding fathers in the late 18th century. Without their steadfast dedication to their principles and convictions, NONE OF US would have the freedoms we enjoy today.
Especially now, during trying economic times, adhering to our nation's principles, not besmirching our constitution or violating its content, more than ever we need to remember what made our country great...and conduct ourselves accordingly.
Make sure you read the Declaration of Independence, the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. EVERY American should read these documents!
